Gamification Strategy Design

Fundamentally, gamification is a technique to influence motivation and engage people to solve problems, perform certain actions, and have fun while on the way to building positive energy in the workplace. It also enables transformation by encouraging voluntary changes in behavior, mindset or attitude in line with the desired outcomes.

Gamification is a complex process that involves multiple stages. It is necessary to understand the objectives of the organization, evaluate challenges in achieving the objectives, and to be familiar with the motivations of employees to reach the objectives. To manage such a complex process, a gamification framework is essential to guide the process from conceptualization to implementation and iterations.

We apply our robust and tested 7 stage Gamification Methodology to:

  • Clearly define recommendations for creative design, development, communications strategy
  • Recommend a roll-out/implementation plan for the gamification project
  • Position how to accurately measure the ‘required behaviors’ vs. ‘actual behaviors achieved’
  • Quantitatively demonstrate if a "test group" has met performance and ROI targets as defined by leadership
  • Track behaviors to understand more directly what intangibles and harder-to-measure results are being experienced (i.e. leadership development, employee engagement, continuous learning environment, tools, etc)
  • Assess usability, playability, engagement, user experience
  • Create "Flow" during learner engagement
  • Assure a durable and sustainable gamification project

Because we begin the process defining exactly what YOUR business goals are for your program, the scope of your strategy design will be customized for you and your needs.
